1. Required Documents & Application Process
Step 1: Prepare Electronic Documents Before starting the online application, please prepare two image files (in .JPG or .JPEG format):
- Passport Bio-page Image: A photo or scan of the page containing personal information and the ICAO lines (ensure the image is clear, without glare or cropped corners).
- Portrait Photo: Size 4×6 cm, white background, looking straight ahead, without colored glasses.
Step 2: Online Information Declaration Access one of the two official websites of the Vietnam Immigration Department:
At these sites, you will:
- Upload your passport image and portrait photo to the system.
- Fill in all required personal information.
- Important Note: For the purpose of entry, you should select “Working” and enter an intended schedule that matches the timing of ICLS 2026.
Step 3: Fee Payment After completing the declaration, you will receive a Registration Code. You then need to pay the visa issuance fee through the online payment gateway:
- 25 USD for a single-entry visa.
- 50 USD for a multiple-entry visa.
- Note: This fee is non-refundable if the application is rejected or if information is declared incorrectly.
Step 4: Result Inquiry and E-visa Printing
- Processing Time: Usually about 03 working days after the system receives full information and fees.
- How to check: Use your Registration Code, email address, and date of birth to check the results on the registered website.
- Printing: Once the application is approved, you must print the E-visa on paper (do not simply save the digital version on your phone) to present to immigration officers upon entry to Vietnam.
2. Designated Ports of Entry (Airports)
E-visa holders can enter via 13 international airports, including:
- North: Noi Bai (Hanoi), Cat Bi (Hai Phong), Van Don (Quang Ninh).
- Central: Da Nang, Cam Ranh (Nha Trang), Phu Bai (Hue), Dong Hoi, Phu Cat, Tho Xuan, Lien Khuong (Da Lat).
- South: Tan Son Nhat (HCMC), Can Tho, Phu Quoc.
3. Visa Exemption Policy

4. Essential Tips for ICLS 2026 Participants
- Passport Validity: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry.
- Purpose of Entry: Select “Conference/Workshop” to match your attendance at ICLS 2026.
- Accuracy: Ensure your name is entered exactly as it appears in the ICAO lines (the bottom section of your passport).
- Printed Copy: You must print a physical copy of your E-visa to present at the immigration counter. Digital versions on mobile devices may not be accepted at all checkpoints.
